Organization Need People or People Need Organization Essay

With the increased globalization of markets, competition among market players has become more severe. In this competitive market, one of the most important factors is the achievement of customer satisfaction and excellence in service. Although the concept of customer satisfaction in customer oriented management is not new, the relationship between customers and corporations has been changing almost daily. Customers are becoming the absolute entity for corporations as the final decision makers for business deals and purchases of products. All organizations exist to serve a customer. Customers are real people, not account numbers or enterprise names. Because of this, customer buying decisions are very often made for emotional reasons. It is therefore most important to understand customers, their level of satisfaction, and their opinions of an enterprise, as well as their opinions of its competitors, if the enterprise is to grow and improve its market share. SWOT analysis can also play a role in understanding customers. Peter Drucker, the highly regarded management scholar and writer, stated, â€Å"The only valid definition of business purpose is to create a customer. † Successful organizations of the future will be those that can provide goods and services to the customers who want it, where they want it, and in the quantity and at the price they want it, thereby delighting rather than merely satisfying customers. Customer delight will lead to loyalty, which is one of the critical indicators used to measure the success of a marketing strategy. Services cannot, however, be performed without some form of relationship between the producer and the consumer and cannot be stored and retained for later use in the way typical of many tangible goods. Business corporations make efforts to create and provide their customers with higher value added, which consists of elements such as lower prices, additional benefits, and uniqueness in services. With rapid advances in information and communications technology, corporations can take advantage of the emerging IT systems to create infrastructure within the organization to improve responsiveness to customer needs and to track those needs, thereby improving customer satisfaction significantly. Top management should be aware of how to tap the power of IT to enhance customer services, resulting in better service quality and streamlining of processes. Here is an example where you can find that why customers are important for the existence of a company or organization EXAMPLE 1: Auto insurance companies require information about people who live with you Are car insurers allowed to require information about the people who live with you for your auto insurance policy? The very idea of an auto insurance company demanding such information from you may seem offensive. After all, what business is it of theirs, who lives in your house—particularly if you are the only person driving the insured car? Insurance companies must consider a variety of factors before determining the final price of your auto insurance policy. Remember that the insurance provider is not only insuring the price of the car, but also insuring the welfare and wellbeing of each passenger involved in a collision The insurance company will insist that anyone who lives in the same house, and who frequently or irregularly operates the same vehicle as an insured driver, must be accounted for on the policy and must take accountability as a second driver. Therefore, if a child becomes of legal age, then the insurance company will usually insist that he or she is officially added to the policy, unless they have their own separate policy. Does the insurance company have the right to ask about other drivers in your home? Definitely. The insurance company is trying to decide if they want to invest in your driving safety. Also bear in mind that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires insurance companies to ask for this information, as this shows the company to be a legitimate and licensed insurance provider. Since the insurance company is required to ask this question, they must be given an answer pertaining to all members of the immediate family, and their driving history. This information will help the company to assign a proper auto insurance rating, and will ultimately decide the amount of risk involved. Always answer this question truthfully. Though nobody enjoys invasive questioning, when it comes to insurance policies, these questions must be answered. After all, you as a primary motorist want to disclose any possible scenarios to the insurance company well in advance of a contract being signed. Whenever a surprise scenario occurs (something not listed on the policy) then it is usually not covered. Not truthfully answering questions is tantamount to misrepresentation. This will result in a denial of all claims and a cancellation of the policy. So you may easily conclude that why organization need people as customers. Let’s take one more example The marketing concept and philosophy is one of the simplest ideas in marketing, and at the same time, it is also one of the most important marketing philosophies. At its very core are the customer and his or her satisfaction. The marketing concept and philosophy states that the organization should strive to satisfy its customers’ wants and needs while meeting the organization’s goals. In simple terms, â€Å"the customer is king†. The implication of the marketing concept is very important for management. It is not something that the marketing department administers, nor is it the sole domain of the marketing department. Rather, it is adopted by the entire organization. From top management to the lowest levels and across all departments of the organization, it is a philosophy or way of doing business.

Stand Your Ground

Diamond Crenshaw Professor Roost VPA 192: MW 31 October 2013 Stand Your Ground Law Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people. -John Adams As many of you are aware about the Traywon Martin / George Zimmerman story as well as Marissa Alexander on going story and both final Judgments so I became very curious about the â€Å"Stand Your Ground† law. In todays society, many young people especially minorities like me who aren't aware about many laws that could actually prevent a harsh Judgment if not any sentencing at all. Stand your round law originally branched off from another familiar law the Castle Doctrine. The Castle Doctrine acts as a self-defense law especially designed for those with homes. If an individual experience an intrusion while home they may act in the best possible way of protecting themselves and cannot be charged with any crime. The stand your ground law was to help those who felt the need to take actions into their own hands during t ragic and horrific situations. In some cases, citizens felt death was a last resort and they should not be penalized for self-defense. In 2005 (Octoberl, to be exact), Florida was the first state to pass a law where you could revoke (go against) the duty to retreat. The duty to retreat is if a person who may be faced with existing danger, they are to retreat (step back) before using any violence. Stand your ground also provide immunity (exception) from being prosecuted or entire trial all together, in most states. Since 2005, 25 other states have also passed this law which are mostly the mid-western and southern and led by Republicans. States with stand your round law condones someone using force before stepping back and no arrest can be made unless there is evidence proving otherwise. Meanwhile every state has their own interpretation of this law, Florida's goes to extreme measures. In Florida, this law could be applied to you in any environment in that state unlike in Wisconsin this law does not extend to public areas. In North Carolina, it's illegal to use a deadly force to a man of the law, landlords and bail bondsman but in South Carolina; you can only apply this law if the person wasn't engaged in illegal activity. In February 2012, Traywon Martin was killed by George Zimmerman who was a neighborhood watchman. Traywon Martin was an unarmed 17 year old boy who was Just walking home from a local store when he was stopped by Zimmerman who felt Traynv'on was up to no good.Zimmerman was taken into custody after being treated for head injuries where he was questioned about the incident for five hours. The police chief released Zimmerman stating that he had a right to defend himself with excessive force and by the Stand Your Ground law he was to release Zimmerman immediately. As this case was heard about throughout the country, great deal of media coverage, and protests Florida decided to make a full investigation. About six weeks after the shooting, Zimmerman wa s finally arrested and charged with murder and if found guilty he was looking at life without any parole.Trial began on June 10, 2013 and after manslaughter charges. The Juries believe Zimmerman was acting in self-defense and there no injustice present. Zimmerman suffered from a fractured nose and injuries on the back of the head. Zimmerman defense team stated due to Martin's taller rame and stamina, he had to act in such a violent way. Traywon Martin was 5'1 1, 185 pounds who played football at his local high school meanwhile George Zimmerman who was 28 years old at the time was 5'8 and 200 pounds. One day after the verdict, the NAACP started a petition asking the Justice department to open a civil rights case against George Zimmerman. In Just a few hours, over 130,000 people signed the petition. Attorney General Eric Holder said the Department of Justice was currently looking into opening a civil rights case and also criticized the stand your ground law. One month after the verdict was read, one of the Jurors spoke out and stated she â€Å"felt in her heart that Zimmerman was guilty and now she regretted her choice†.She also stated that the Judge reminded the Jury when deciding on a sentence to use the evidence at hand and not on sympathy for the family. Nonviolent rallies have been held in over 100 cities about racial profiling. Marissa Alexander is also a victim of the stand your ground law. She is currently serving 20 years for shooting warning shots to her estranged husband who was abusive to her during and after her pregnancy ack in 2010. The mother of 3 had no prior record before the shooting. Alexander went back to her previous home that she thought was deserted to retrieve some of her belongings where she end up arguing with her husband. In the mist of the argument, her husband chased her into her to the bathroom where she locked herself in for protection. Her husband broke down the door, grabs her and slams her head into the bathroom door. Some how she was able to break away from him and immediately ran pass his two young sons and out of the home. She realizes that she eft her car keys inside the home so she retrieves her licensed gun. As she re-entered the home, she fired a warning shot into the wall that ricochet into the ceiling. The court revoke her from using the stand your ground law because they believe she fired the gun with intentions of harming her husband as well as she had the opportunity to get away once she got outside the house. The children were also present during the ordeal and couldVe been harmed as well. In the state of Florida there's a law called 10-20 Life which was passed in 1999 whereas anyone who uses he gun in the commission of certain felonies gets an automatic 10 years in prison, if you fire the gun an automatic 20 years and if you shoot and wound someone you get 25 years to life.Marissa Alexander not only was stripped away her rights of using the stand your ground for acting in self-defense but she was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. In September 2013, the District Court of Appeals for Florida decided to grant Marissa Alexander a new trial since the previous Judge did not properly instruct the Jury on what is onsidered as self-defense.Many politicians including Senator John McCain have stated â€Å"l can also see that the stand your ground law may be something that needs to be reviewed by the Florida Legislature or any other Legislature† where a lot of people are starting to disagree. So what have we learned from Stand Your Ground law? It's okay to kill a young teen who looks suspect because he's wearing a oversized hoodie and when you actually act in self-defense with nobody being harmed you are still used the same in every state and in the state of Florida this law needs major adjustments.

The Nucleus is found in both the animal cell and the plant cell. The Nucleus function is to direct all functions within the cell. 5. Nucleolus The Nucleolus is found in the nucleus in both plants and animal cells. The nucleolus function is to assemble ribosomes which move out of the nucleus and take positions on the rough ER (Endoplasmic Reticulum) where they are critical in protein synthesis. 6. Chromatin The Chromatin is located in both plant cells and animal cells. The function of the hromatin is to package DNA into a smaller volume to fit in the cell, to strengthen the DNA to allow mitosis and prevent DNA damage. 7. Centrioles Centrioles are found only in the animal cell. The function of Centrioles is to produce the cells cytoskeleton which is made up of microtubules and microfilaments. Chloroplast The chloroplast is located only in the plant cell. Chloroplast Job is responsible for making glucose in the process known as photosynthesis. The Chloroplast is green due to chlorophyll a pigment that captures sunlight. The chloroplasts live in the mesophyll cells. 8. Ribosomes Ribosomes are found in both plant and animal cells. The function is to synthesize and make proteins. Ribosomes can be found free floating in the cytoplasm or attached to the ER (Endoplasmic Reticulum). 9. Vacuoles Vacuoles are found in both plant cells and animal cells. The vacuoles function is to store food, water, or wastes. The vacuole that is only found in plant cells is the central vacuole. The vacuoles store water, food, and waste. Vacuoles purpose is to serve rimarily as storage units but versatile to perform more than one function. Cell Wall Cell walls are located only in the plant cell. The function of the cell wall is to support and give structure. The cell wall is made up of cellulose. 10. Cell Membrane Cell membranes are located in both plant and animal cells. The Job of the cell membrane is to control what foes into and out of the cell. 11 . Cytoplasm Cytoplasm is found in both plants and animal cells. The Job of the cytoplasm is to keep the organelles safe and in place. 12. Nuclear Envelope The Nuclear Envelope is located in both the plant cell and the animal cell. The nuclear envelopes function is to send a stream of RNA and other info-carrying molecules to the rest of the cell through nuclear pores. These organelles I have listed are in animals and in plant cells or both. The lists of organelles are very unique and if you have never heard of these organelles and cells. I hope you will learn something from my project. In conclusion, my project is to show the similarities and differences between each organelle in a plant cell or animal cell.

Use of E-Books among University Statistics Students in Libya Thesis Proposal - 1

Use of E-Books among University Statistics Students in Libya - Thesis Proposal Example   It was projected that there would be a higher rate of approval by now though that is not what actually is being witnessed. For instance, a study conducted by Roesnita and Zainab (2005) in Malaysia among university going student revealed that only about 39% of them had utilized e-books before the commencing of the study. This was against the general notion that is existing and presumes that university students are higher in literacy levels and in technology use and thus would be better placed in utilizing the e-library or any material would-be within the internet environment. In yet another study by Oliveira about 12.1% of the Andrews university (respondents) were found to have used or to use e-text books compared to the larger percentage that were found not to utilize the e-library (Oliveira, 2012). In fact, among those found to have ever used the service had been compelled by the requirement of the physics teacher that they had to use the service. This further constricted the nu mber of those who voluntary used the service to merely 4%of the total sample that was used for the study. The shocking findings of the research study by Woody, Daniel and Baker (2010) were that there has not been any notable change in preference of the textbooks to the e-books even within the evolution in IT within the century. Nicholas and Lewis who carried out a survey in 2008 regarding the attitudes of the people within the millennium towards the use of e-reading material as compared to the print materials postulated another supportive argument to this finding (2008). The study found out that many people in the current generation would prefer to use ‘old’ print materials as compared to the new and more simplistic method of learning through the online materials.

The Epistmology of Conspiracy Theories Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

The Epistmology of Conspiracy Theories - Essay Example What exists about such events is only fantasizing of what might have been the cause. There are various such conspiracies in the world. The first one concerns the source of Human Immunodeficiency Virus that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. People speculate that it was a product of Soviet or American biological warfare and that it was released either with or without the knowledge of the scientist who made it. People were also not aware that such virus existed. The second conspiracy concerns extraterrestrials that frequently visited the earth with the intention of killing cows and human beings. The memories of these individuals and animals are then erased from our memories such that forget them forever (Keeley 6). The third conspiracy explains that there once had a good transport system in Los Angeles city which was made up of street cars. In 1930 to 1940, car manufactures, rubber makers and oil marketers formed a conspiracy group that distracted this transport system. The in tention of the group was to turn the city’s transport system into an automobile type. It, therefore, made large sales by selling such automobiles. The fourth conspiracy is that of â€Å"Trans World Airlines Flight 800.† The plane was accidentally sunk into the sea by a United State navy missile. The government then covered the facts behind this accident by refusing to release the right information to them media. These were just the mere speculations that went around in the public. The sixth most common conspiracy is the most surprising one. The United State is said to record all telephone calls made by people living in Transatlantic. The National Security Agency was the body behind this monitoring and recording (Keeley 8). Their primary intention is still yet to be known. The fifth conspiracy speculates that a small group of Jewish bankers controls the world economy. Other groups that were speculated were the Trilateral Commission and Freemasons. The sixth and the most talked about conspiracy involve the Oklahoma City bombing. It is speculated that a police officer guarding the main entrance of the building had in the previous days killed a person. His friends swore to revenge by throwing a bomb at him. They did so and killed the officer together with an extra 168 people. A clear analysis of the Oklahoma City bombing can reveal some characteristics of a conspiracy theory. After the bombing, news went around that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms had been forewarned before it took place, which they denied. A wise person should understand that such speculations or news in the media may be false or true. However, a conspiracy can be identified by a number of characteristics (Keeley 10). First, it offers the clarification of the event in question. The aim of this clarification is to confuse people’s minds and distract them far away from the truth. The second characteristic is that the people behind the bad event are revealed as weak and not capable of doing such an event. They are revealed to have played a helping role. They are seen as setting the main event that caused the disaster. Third, the group that does wrong or harmful event must be small in number. Other larger groups of people whom they are acting for, is largely hidden. Fourth, they cast doubts on an official story that had been earlier released. It, therefore, acts as a cover

US Army's National Guard involvement in Hurricane Katrina's Relief Essay

US Army's National Guard involvement in Hurricane Katrina's Relief Operation - Essay Example Hurricane Katrina hit America in the fall of August 2005.The Katrina hit seven different states leading to different death-tolls in each state. These states were: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Ohio. The most loss was incurred in Louisiana where more than 1500 were estimated dead. It is considered one of the costliest and deadliest hurricanes to have ever hit in the history of the United States. Hurricane Katrina made landfall on the Gulf Coast, destroying lives, leveling homes and leaving thousands of survivors with the same story.Federal disaster declarations covered 90,000square miles of the United States, an area considered to be almost as large as the United Kingdom. Tough the loss of lives was the most tragic event caused by the hurricane. It was worsened by what came as the aftermath of the storm. Loss of electricity was one of the biggest setbacks to the crisis. The impact was such that as a consequence, the hurricane left approximately three million individuals without electricity. In 2005, 3rd September, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff explained the consequences of Hurricane Katrina as "perhaps the worst disaster, or set of catastrophes," in the history of the country, stating this about the hurricane itself and the flooding of New Orleans (CNN).Thus, when help moved in they had to deal with an increasing number of problems. Not only did they have to collect the bodies of those who had died in the storm but they also needed to provide and support the survivors. Economically, the damages were enormous. So while the Bush administration worked to collect funds, hundreds of thousands of local residents were left unemployed. This led to a trickle-down effect as fewer taxes are paid to local governments. Prior to the hurricane, the region supported around one million non-farm jobs, with approximately six hundred thousand amongst them in New Orleans. This meant that the desperate victims began looting stores in s earch of food and water: essentials that were impossible to find (FOX 16). To prevent further chaos and to help bring the situation under control the government deployed thousands of National Guard and federal troops. Role of National Guard When Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, the situation triggered the largest and fastest disaster response ever seen in the National Guard's 369 year history. At the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People event, Steven Blum (Head of the National Guard) spoke of how none of the men who went as part of the National Guard stopped to question how long they would be caught in the disaster area or whether they would be paid for their efforts. He commended them by saying how this was the reason why the National Guard was the finest organization of the nation and he was proud to be part of it (National Guard). When Hurricane Katrina struck, the National Guard was amongst the first men who landed in the area within the first four hours. The troops were on the streets, in the water and in the air. Each one attempting to save as many lives as he possibly could. Thus, 58,000 troops were deployed into the disaster hit area. The following are instances where the National Guard took over various different regions and helped provide assistance almost immediately after the disaster had struck. In most places, the strong winds and thundering rain had not even stopped and the Guards had already moved in to help the victims. The US Department of Defense immediately posted a news article on the 29 of August 2005 to show the work that was being carried out by the National Guard in their efforts to keep the area safe. The work done almost immediate

Islamic Teachings Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

Islamic Teachings - Essay Example Islam being a diverse religious, has crossed many cultural boundaries where people of various regions have been influenced by its doctrines and rituals and have adapted it to their specific contexts (Bassiri, 1997, p. 43). Islam, is a religion of peace that promotes equality and justice to humanity, and unlike what it is perceived in many cultures as 'a religion of spirituality', Islam has no room for the spiritual dimension. In fact, Islam teaches discipline and a balance in worldly affairs and believes in rationality. This has been the major distinction to what Islam is and what it is perceived in many countries, particularly Islam in South Asia. Similarly, the problem also arises with the discrimination factor of the religion. Koran says, to be one nation, believe in one God and do not discriminate. This notion is never followed, because there are two main sects in this religion, 'Sunnis' and 'Shiites'. Thus, the problem between Islamic teachings and practice is that it varies according to different cultural perceptions and practice. Such variation also occurs for the reason that since Koran is in Arabic, Muslims, who are unaware of Arabic language, often make a distinction between the Koran and a translation of the Koran. This variation has always been considered normal for the main teachings that Muslims are aware of, are commonly practiced in every region and culture. However, difference lies in their interpretation, due to distinct cultures and variations in practices. Translations into the local languages of the Islamic world, are not independent books, but rather interlinear commentaries on the meaning of the text and aids to make the teachings of Islam more simpler to understand. Islam - a monotheist religion recognizes the significance of correct practice, as this is what makes people Muslims and that, for most people, correct belief rests upon correct practice (Murata & Chittick, 1994, p. 9). This study centers around how Islam entered into cultural settings, and how it is perceived and to what extent the teachings are variated in countries like United States, Britain, Middle East, India and Pakistan, along with comparisons from Christianity and Judaism. To what degree Islamic teachings as perceived in various cultural settings contrast with other and what are the ways to assess the interaction between Muslims and non-Muslims communities Islam in the United States and Great Britain Islam in the U.S and UK reflects not only the values and particularities of indigenous cultures of the West, but also of almost all the Islamic communities of the world. By the turn of the fifteenth century, Muslims throughout the peninsula were forced to choose among the unfortunate alternatives of conversion to Christianity, emigration, or death. Many who chose the first, continued to practice their faith in secret, maintaining a hidden conclave of Islam for centuries. Others, when tried openly to rebel suffered through expulsion from the

IT Project Risk Management Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words

IT Project Risk Management - Research Paper Example Additionally, efficient and successful project management requires effective management of all avenues that bring uncertainty into the project. The paper is structured into phases that outline how project risk management typology can be achieved effectively. The phases include the define phase, focus phase, identify issue-phase, Structure the Issues phase, Clarify ownership phase, Estimate Variability phase, Evaluate Overall Implications phase, and manage implementation phase. Currently, knowledge has been earmarked as an indispensable ingredient to innovative companies and to their overall objective of maintaining a competitive advantage over their rivals. In particular, knowledge has become an important factor in the development of dynamic key competencies, as well as the vocal point for companies to meet their global ambitions (Talet, Zin & Houari, 2014). IT, in particular, has become an important tool in all-important sectors, and any organization will highly feel the impact of any failure of IT project management on competitive advantage. California Technology Agency (2011) asserts that most of the business managers are not privy of the magnitude IT-related risks in projects management a firm will be exposed. Most of these managers are only able to learn the value of IT-related risks after they have computed the amount of damage the risk has brought about. According to Leong California Technology Agency, (2011) past research studies have primarily be en concerned with how effective IT-related risks may be analyzed and compensated for. Therefore, it would be imperative for IT managers constantly to embrace the holistic view of IT project risk management rather than just focusing only on financial issues. There exist little empirical research studies showing the correct way of handling the management of the IT-related projects risks during the launching of the project. Though a myriad of studies have been done in regards to I.T project risk

Mid-term Assignment Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Mid-term Assignment - Essay Example They have brought most of the world influential markets together to breach the boundaries and limits to allow global flow. Through technology, they have been able to offer transport and make efficient communications to the target markets. This has in turn cut down costs that keep most participants out of the market. They have managed to liberate trade activities (Intriligator, pp. 3) with economic liberation being the main topic. Through this, so many changes have happened in that the way the world trade currently is smooth and with minimum barriers. Even if this kind of liberation was started by most countries during the world war, China and the United States have managed to actualize it in time when the world needs it most. This contribution has lowered the trade charges. Factors of production discourage most countries from participating in international businesses. However, these two nations provide the most important factors of production; capital and labor that boost the developing nations. Since they are superpower nations, they have made sure that most of the international markets and links are open to all those willing to take part in. Institutional changes have played a key role in globalization. With improved technology, most companies have managed to expand their market bases. Initially, with little technological knowhow, most of these companies valued local markets. The introduction of great technological means has revolutionized how they operate. This means that their profit have gone beyond their imagination. United States and China have huge multinational companies that are shaping up the industrial structure. Through this, there is increased productivity, power and profit generation because all resources are being utilized. Another good way of incorporating firms is through the use Nongovernmental organizations. These two nations have a will to support the

That higher education Essay Example for Free

That higher education Essay With all these guidelines for starters, it would be much possible for new learning program facilitators to come up with possible effective and efficient foundation in online teaching. On the other hand, the â€Å"E-Learning Revolution: How Technology is Driving a New Training Paradigm† by Martyn Sloman shows how much the Internet changed everything especially in the education industry. He says that the â€Å"virtual education has already taken over the systems of traditional learning and as well made great innovations on the learning process of the new generation† (2002, p 23). True, as earlier introduced in chapter one, the existence of virtual learning programs really made great changes on the existence of educational systems in the society. â€Å"Aside from the practicality and other benefits offered by this system of learning, the new generation realizes the importance of time and thus they take the necessary steps needed to finish their degrees through online universities† (Sloman, 2002, p 24). In this way, not only do they finish early, but they also learn how to manage their time wisely. True, the challenges of training people through the use of technological advancements are rather huge. But as Arthur Langer said in his authored book â€Å"IT and Organizational Learning†, â€Å"training using the Internet is really a challenge especially for beginners, but once the effective foundations of learning in traditional classrooms would be integrated with the high-tech effects brought about by the Internet, learning through this innovative design of education could be well considered worth while† (2001, p 14). As an addition to this, Robert Seidel said that Virtual education is indeed becoming a phenomenon already. According to him in his book â€Å"Virtual Reality, Training’s Future? : Perspectives on Virtual Reality and Related Emerging Technologies†, â€Å"Virtual education has already taken full control of many educational institutions there are today. Indeed, even companies are taking their steps in making online trainings a possible way of enriching their employees’ skills for their chosen careers both for individual and company satisfaction† (1997, p 45). Seidel also adds: â€Å"Virtual reality is a simple and natural extension to proceed in learning without boundaries to the virtual environment, as well as being able to completely enjoy the provisions of the virtual world in enriching the industry and strategies used in education† (1997, p 48). Yes, the virtual world had already made a great impact on the ways in which the present generation prefers to learn and earn their college degrees. Indeed, as introduced earlier, the idea of establishing virtual education providers came from the traditional learning aided by distance learning providers even before the development of computers. Naturally, the past forms of distance education were mostly done through correspondence and the use of telecommunication processes. Certainly, technology has obviously revolutionized the ways by which the handling off information through higher level of learning is being processed. Most likely, the integration of technology within the system heightened the capability of the institutions making up the said industry to provide the best possible entities and values available in their service towards the personal advancement of their students.

Examining The Importance Of Computer Technology Information Technology Essay

Examining The Importance Of Computer Technology Information Technology Essay Why is the future of computer technology an important role in the society. Here are few of the reasons why it is an important role to the society. First it is important to the educational field, for the reason that most of what we do is based on computers. Second it is important to the business field; because it can help with the speed accuracy and relevant so that businesses can grow and less expenditure. Third; technically speaking it is important to our economy for the speed the connection around the world and also the communication. Lastly; technology is one of the important roles in our environment. What I mean by that is that technology helps us to maintain our environment by reducing wastes for example; papers, plastic etc. Now those are some of the importance and also the advantages of the technology. Technology also has its disadvantages and here are some. We all know that technology grow everyday and people inventing are just eager to invent the most compatible and reliable gadgets to be used by the end users, which is good but at the same time it has its disadvantages here are some of the disadvantages of the technology. The technology makes kids these days lazy and can place children at risk for harmful effects on their physical, social, and psychological development. Children need physical activity, social interaction, and the love and guidance of caring adults to be healthy, happy, and productive. Nowadays businesses are mostly connected to internet and do business online which is good; however there are people out there scamming people with fake businesses online and hackers to hack into your system and steal information or money. The use of computer also results into unemployment as computer can perform the task that might need nearly six to seven workers. Unemployment is likely to result into crimes. Continuous work with comput er causes loss of eyesight in the long run. Internet, which is widely used to see pornographic scenes, will lead to sex violences and more. To conclude it even though technology has its downside I still think that in the future it will be beneficial to our society and environment. The Future of Computer Technology Computer technology is spreading all over the world. Even though it might have few disadvantages but the advantages are still spectacular and very useful to our society. First up is the education field, in the United States Department of Education researched that children tend to learn more with computers than by reading books or do research using encyclopedias. Computers have ways to crab students attention by the animated graphics, sound and colors. It also allow student to communicate with their friends, families and the world. In addition educational field, computer is one of the must to know basic because everything we do is somehow related to computer and the technology. (Mr.Pandys article published 2010) states that the importance of computers in school will help students prepared and shape up for the future of technologies.
